Microsoft Europe asked us to develop a fresh approach to producing case study videos that would break from the often stale feeling of so much of the work in this genre. So we developed a unique set of stylistic choices for the series and applied this style as a framework around our long-standing practice of in-depth, conversational-style interviewing, particularly about complex topics.

We filmed our interviewees looking directly into the camera lens against carefully chosen geometries, interwove this with visually compelling abstract imagery we filmed — location-distinctive, designed and natural textures and geometries — and composed original music suited to the emotional arc of the subject matter.
