Jeff Han, a researcher at NYU and the founder of Perceptive Pixel, created large-scale multitouch screens in 2006. Soon after, Apple and Microsoft announced much smaller-scale touch-based products and, since then, Han's screens have become common in venues ranging from CNN to the CIA.
For this film, we interviewed Han about how multitouch-based interfaces will impact how we interact with computer-based representations of things, places, and people, in applications ranging from virtual worlds such as Second Life to software for collaborative design.
